A passion ignited

Well hello there! Grab yourself a warm drink, throw another log on the fire and relax in your favorite chair while I condense my life story into a few paragraphs.

I’m David Zupec, web developer behind Firesidecode. Thanks to my high school art teacher I went to College for Creative Studies and received my Bachelors in Graphic Design. Upon graduating I moved to Miami, Florida to gain some experience. I’m not going to lie, the ocean was pretty nice too. After a few years of working at various agencies I moved back to Michigan to start my own business.

Firesidecode is where I showcase the work I do as well as well as blog about the industry and other random shenanigans. I love coding WordPress, mobile, and static websites from scratch with HTML5, CSS3, PHP, jQuery, and Photoshop. I also do design work for select projects, but my specialty and passion is coding.

When I’m not coding I’m playing outdoors. In the Winter you’ll usually find me snowboarding, and in the Summer I love to travel. Extended weekend trips with my family is always a blast. I have a strong faith and give thanks to God and my lord and savior Jesus Christ for making all this possible and for meeting some great friends along the way.
